The project of Villa Allegra took off on their own initiative Nicolò and Luigi Dona dalle Rose, who built the property for personal use by placing it in an absolutely unique location between the port and the central area. Located in the northeast of Sardinia, between the Gulf of Cugnana and Marinella, the area of Porto Rotondo is a fraction of Olbia in the province of Sassari. It covers 500 hectares and has as a reference point an equipped port with the availability of 800 berths.
The villa is made up of nine private rooms and bathrooms, a double living room with dining room and overlooking large balcony, large kitchen, guest bathroom, gym and fitness area. The property is decorated with impor- tant sculptures made by various large and renowned artists. In addition, successful professionals have designed a lighting system of the entire property which, in his night-robe, makes it spectacular in the opinion of any new host. All rooms have satellite system, air conditioning, wi-fi and mini-bar. On over 2000 square meters of park there are three large equipped lawns, a spa, a swimming pool and an artificial beach, rebuilt specifically to enjoy the holiday even in the days of mistral.
The entire property is equipped with an automatic watering system and of very large water collecting tanks. Guests can access the port directly from your own private gate and the central area of Porto Rotondo.
Porto Rotondo is located between the Gulf of Cugnana and the Gulf of Marinella, 13 kilometers north of Olbia. Together with Porto Cervo, the “capital” of the Emerald Coast, it is one of the most popular tourist destinations of the Costa Smeralda.
The area surrounding Porto Rotondo is divided into three parts: Punta Nuraghe, Punta Volpe, and Punta Lada. At the heart of this charming village is the Piazzetta San Marco, a peaceful square where locals gather for conversation and tourists lounge in quaint cafe’s enjoying their morning coffee. Ideal for a either short getaway or an extended stay, Porto Rotondo is a small port with a big reputation and some of the most stunning scenery anywhere along the coastline.
The village is picturesque in every sense and most notable is the collage of colors of the surrounding area, from the reflection of the sun on the many expensive yachts docked in the harbor, the stunning white sandy beaches, the turquoise blue of the Mediterranean, to the green and luscious sporadic spaces. Although the nearby beaches are often referred to as paradise in appearance, the rolling landscapes and hills that stretch outward from the town are as idyllic as they come and leave little wonder as for why so many tourists return to vacation in Porto Rotondo on a yearly basis.
